books with linds ~ winter 2022

let’s hit our reading goal this year

i’ve always had a love for reading and ever since i discovered the goodreads app back when i was in high school, it’s been really fun setting a reading goal for the year. the app allows for you to pick a number of books you’d like to read that year and then you can leave your rating and track.

i wanted to start sharing the books i’ve been reading and my rating of them in hopes that you can find a book to add to your list!

it ends with us // colleen hoover

if you haven’t heard of her somehow, colleen hoover is super well known for her romance novels. i fell in love with her writing when i read verity in the fall of 2020. it ends with us is such a sweet story but i will preface a trigger warning before you decide to grab it.

in five years // rebecca serle

this was a quick read at the beginning of the new year. i wouldn’t say it was the best book ever and that you have to pick it up but it does have a great nice story line with some of life’s difficulties thrown in.

behind closed doors // b.a. paris

ok so this book took a long time for me to get into it. i say that not because it’s not a good book, i just had a hard time getting into the first few chapters. once you get into it, it’s definitely a gripping read that i couldn’t put down towards the end.

the maidens // alex michaelides

i loved the writing style of his first novel, the silent patient, so i knew i was going to really enjoy his second. i loved the plot and the twist at the end so this is definitely one i’d recommend grabbing!

*disregard the sticker mark, lol

there’s been quite a mix of romance and mystery/thriller but i really enjoy rotating between the genres that i have. i have quite a few books on my list for spring so stay tuned for an updated blog featuring those reads.

what have you read recently that you couldn’t put down? drop it in the comments below!
