one year recap: full time freelancer

one whole year as a freelancer…and wow did it fly by

i recently looked back at the end of 2021 and knew just how scared i was about starting to work for myself full time. to be here, coming up on the end of 2022 and i couldn’t be more grateful to have had the push i did.

for a little refresh, i turned daydreamer social into my full time job in december of 2021, due to my corporate job getting acquired by another company. not only was this new to me on every level but it’s scary when you go from the consistency of a full time job plus a side hustle to the side hustle being the only income you have.

2022 was quite a year and i couldn’t be more grateful to say that i am finally feeling confident in myself and my brand. it’s a journey that will really force you to look inside yourself to determine what you want to achieve. do you want to have a few clients, create your own schedule and just stick with that? do you want to grow as a entrepreneur and develop a full agency that allows you to be high level within the coming years? whichever direction you decide on, working for yourself really makes you look internally to make decisions like that.

things i achieved this year

~ landed some amazing clients that i’ve always wanted to work with

~ refined my services to give my clients the best offering

~ started having branding shoots for myself more consistently

~ continued updating my website (it really is ever evolving!)

~ learned how to balance my work & personal life even more

~ grew stronger connections with other women entrepreneurs

~ joined a local women’s group, allowing me to continue growing & connect with likeminded women

now as we get closer to 2023 and a brand new year, i’m really honing in on the things i accomplished this year and how to keep that momentum going in the new year.

thank you 2022. you were a year full of growth and i wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. here’s to another amazing year!
