things to do on a weekend in nashville, tn
nashville looks good on you
nashville has always been a city that i’ve wanted to explore since i was younger and this past month i headed out on a quick weekend trip! while it was a work trip, there was still a ton of time to explore everything that nashville has to offer. i had made a little list of restaurants and shops that i was interested in seeing and then everything else was per the recommendation of my friend, taylor!
if you’re planning on a fun weekend trip out to music city, here are some of the places that i recommend seeing.
places to eat
now if i told you i wasn’t excited for all the food then i’d be lying. i had only heard of two of the places before heading out there and the rest came up as we went.
the hampton social
wow is all i can say! this place is a must for any meal. we stopped in there for lunch on friday and i was truly blown away! the decor is what immediately caught my eye. right when you walk in, there is this beautiful wall made of pink and white roses and it’s the perfect background for instagram photos.
things to order: frozé | roasted brussels sprouts | grilled cheese with avocado
biscuit love
biscuit love is such a fun spot to grab brunch on a day exploring the gulch. beware of the line but it is totally worth the wait!
things to order: chai latte | sec breakfast sandwich
bartaco
this place was so yummy that i really wish they had one in scottsdale! during spring and summer when the weather is warm, sitting on the patio would be perfect!
things to order: paloma fresca | guac | brussel sprout taco | carne asada bowl
tavern
the perfect low-key spot to hit before a night out in midtown! we grabbed dinner here before heading to winners and sat on the patio. i’ve also heard they have a killer brunch deal!
things to order: lights on dim cocktail | tavern fries | turkey b.l.t
places to shop
shopping was definitely one of the things i was most excited about when heading to nashville. the boutiques they have are so cute and different while still showing off the nashville style!
vici
vici is an online boutique with a few locations in the us but they have sooo many cute pieces. i’m pretty sure we were in here for over an hour but they made the experience so fun with good music, energetic staff and even cans of rosé!
white’s mercantile
this was definitely a perfect place to get the nashville feel! there were so many little knick knacks and unique pieces that we wandered around and i definitely got lost in it all.
the nash collection
this is the perfect place to go for simple yet unique nashville tee shirts & hats. i’d had seen this boutique on instagram for years and had always wanted a top from them and i finally was able to get my hands on one!
draper james
calling all southern belles…this place is for you! founded by reese witherspoon, this boutique is full of all things southern; floral patterns, the perfect shade of blue, magnolias and sweet tea!
kittenish
the cutest little shop created by jessie james decker. this boutique is a cute place to stop by when exploring the gulch area. they have the cutest instagramable spot on the main wall and then adorable decor throughout the rest of the shop!
uncommon james
if you love simple and delicate jewelry that still makes a statement then uncommon james is definitely a store you need to stop into!
places to go
winners bar
if you’re a fan of country music then you need to hit this spot on a monday or thursday night for whiskey jam! nothing like an ice cold beer & some local country music.
dierks bentley’s whiskey row
in the heart of broadway, whiskey row is a mix of live music & nightlife all in one! live music on the first floor all night long and a dj on the second floor and rooftop. when it comes to nightlife it is definitely something you won’t see in any other bar on broadway!
jason aldean’s rooftop
i would say the rooftop at jason aldean’s was better than the other levels of the bar. the patio is amazing and it’s really spacious which makes for the best place to spend a friday afternoon with a drink in hand.
